What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Other technologies work in a similar way, such as your browser’s storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). On this page, “cookies” covers all of these technologies.
Under Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006, we store or read information on your device without your consent only when it is strictly necessary to provide the website or a feature you asked for. For anything else we ask for your consent first.
Strictly necessary (no consent needed)
For it to work, the website sets a single cookie and uses your browser’s storage only for the following:
cc_cookie (cookie): remembers your cookie choice, so we do not ask you on every page. It lasts 6 months; after that we ask again.
theme (localStorage): remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme with the switch on the page. It is stored only if you make that choice and stays in your browser until you delete it.
intro (sessionStorage): remembers that you have already seen the intro animation on the home page, so it does not replay. It is deleted when you close the tab.
The protection of the forms against automated submissions (ALTCHA) runs on our own servers and uses no cookies.
Traffic measurement (only with your consent)
utm (sessionStorage): keeps the campaign parameters of the link you arrived from, so they accompany the form if you send it. It is not sent to us unless you submit a form, and it is deleted when you close the tab.
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited), through Google Tag Manager: we measure website traffic, that is which pages are read and where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets Google cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and collects data such as your IP address, a unique identifier, the pages you visited and details of your device. How long these cookies last is determined by Google (policies.google.com/technologies/cookies).
Before you give your consent, the website loads nothing from Google’s servers and no measurement cookie is set. We use no advertising cookies. For transfers of data outside the EU, see the Privacy Policy.
How to give or withdraw consent
On your first visit we ask you to choose whether you accept measurement cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the website works normally either way. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw it, we delete the Google Analytics cookies. You can also delete or block cookies and stored data in your browser settings.
